Doctor Who owns my soul...
ProfileGalleryPrintsFavesJournal

Well, I'm trying...

Thu Jan 8, 2009, 10:44 AM
I am almost over with my Holiday break from Uni and it is killing me, almost as much as when I was in school. It wasn't so bad, Christmas came and went with the whole family ordeal. I got some Wii games and three Doctor Who novels. That was fun, but then on New Year's eve I got in a car wreck headed to met a friend to go to a party. I got beat up by my air bags and had a concussion. That sucked, though I still went to my party. Then two days ago I fell down my stairs at my house and hurt the side of my body that didn't get beat up as bad in the wreck...

Anyways, enough pity party with me. I really did enjoy the well wishes I recived from my last post, and I hope everyone had a good Holiday season. I just am finishing up finally beta-ing Kiiri's one-off after forgetting about it and feeling like a total wanker for doing so... Sorry Kiiri! I am also working on my fic, and have about one new paragraph, and about two paragraphs of a new fic with Sarah Jane and the Doctor, based off the Cyrano de Bergerac story. Finally I got some new clothes for my Sarah Jane cosplays and want to take some new pictures when the weather gets nice... We will see.

Well I bothered you all enough with my rambling, if anyone actually reads this, and yeah...

Done now...

Lots of Love

OH MY F***ING GOD!

Sun Oct 5, 2008, 8:35 PM
Life has utterly eaten me alive. I have been diving head first into college, and have had no time to even come up for air.

Since starting college I have rejoined Billings Community Band, starting working in the theatre and communications department at my school as an office worker, worked for the Obama campagin as an intern, and recieved the role of Mrs. Rodgers in my college's production of And Then There Were None by Agatha Cristie.

I wake up for school at around 7:30 am, give or take a few minutes, everyday, and then have a half hour commute to school. I usually have class then a little time for lunch, then work, then maybe some time for food, maybe some more class, then rehersal until 10 or 11 pm every night. Then it happens that sometimes we go to the local bar as a cast and I watch everyone get toasted and laugh with my shirlie temple until about 1 or 2 in the morning, then I commute another half hour home to sleep for a few hours just to do it all over again.

It is killing me, but at the same time this busyness is what really makes me happy. Being with people I really like and that have accepted me into thier fold, working on music and theatre that I love, and just felling like I am getting something done with my life have really got my blood boiling.

I am now just getting used to my new schedule and I hope to be more active like I used to be. I felt like I abandoned the internet and all the people on it for a while, and it made me feel really bad. I just think I have a little more balance coming my way and I will be able to juggle everything.

Lets cross our fingers!!!

WANTED: Beta Readers

Fri Aug 22, 2008, 8:01 PM
So I am having a bit of an issue here. As some people have noticed, I have a fanfic going on here. I tried to post it to A Teaspoon and An Open Mind, a great whofic site, and herein lies the problem, they rejected it because they said it has the speech incorrectly punctuated. I am not exactly sure how that is, and they will not accept it until fix it. What I need is some type of Beta reader, or two to help me fix those kind of things I guess.

I have always been wary of having people read things I wrote, and then tell me what's wrong, but at the same time I would love help on how to fix my so-called speech problem. Any takers? Please?

I am the Doctor!!!

Thu Jul 17, 2008, 1:22 AM
There is a wonderful site called Sarah Jane Smith Wardrobe Appreciation Society (go here: [link]) and on it they had something called Sarahscopes! I was born on October 24th so that makes me the Doctor! Check here for your own sign, and also go check out the site for more cool stuff!

Sarahscopes

Most people know their zodiac sign, and lots of people check their horoscope in the paper - but did you know that you also have a "Sarahscope"?
Yes, through a complex and painstaking system of drawing up charts and observing the heavens, we are now able to tell you, exclusively, which SJ-related character you are most similar to, based on your date of birth. These conclusions have been verified by expert scientists and are proven to be 9.9% accurate!
Note: Please don't be sad or send us angry emails if you don't like your sign - it's just for fun, folks!

SARAH JANE
March 21st – April 19th
Those born under the sign of Sarah are ambitious, determined and resourceful. Although they find trust difficult and so form few close friendships, they are incredibly loving and dedicated to the friends they do have.
Sarah people tend towards sarcasm and moodiness, and can also be sneaky and duplicitous when the situation requires it. But life with a Sarah will never be dull, because their deadpan humour and knack for finding adventure fill every day with excitement.

THE BRIGADIER
April 20th – May 20th
Brigadier people are reliable, steadfast, quick-thinking and able to take action when it is needed. They are calm under pressure and make excellent leaders.
Sometimes these people can be old-fashioned, and find it hard to learn to adapt to new situations, still trying to solve problems in ways that are no longer useful.
This hardly matters though, because their extreme loyalty to what they know is right and their deep affection for their friends will always see them through.

K9
May 21st – June 20th
Those born under the sign of K9 are organised, knowledgeable and helpful. They will defend their friends in any situation and are always happy to make themselves useful. K9 people are generally very clever, and consequently are often smug and superior, and can be impatient and demanding.
Mostly, though, they are the perfect best friend – loyal, affectionate, and always with something interesting to talk about.

NAT
June 21st – July 22nd
People born under the sign of Natalie are extremely clever and inventive, and are always eager to learn new things. They require constant stimulation and excitement, and so enjoy exotic travel, and any activity with a hint of danger or illegality.
People with this sign can have short attention spans. They can also be over-sensitive at times and quick to anger.
Natalie people are very giving, and they are always keen to share whatever they have with their friends, be it good fortune, knowledge or ideas.

CHRISSIE
July 23rd – August 22nd
People born under the sign of Chrissie live life to the full - they take every opportunity that comes their was and make the most of it. There's never a dull moment with a Chrissie around.
They do, however, have a tendency to be thoughtless and self-centred, and are not above indulging in a bit of malicious gossip.
This is tempered by the strong love they have for their families – even when appearances might seem to suggest otherwise, nothing is more important to them.

LUKE
August 23rd – September 22nd
Those born under the sign of Luke are very intelligent and brave, and have an ability to see things in a way other people cannot.
However, they can lack common sense and don't always think things through before doing them, which can lead them into bad situations. They are very eager to please and try hard at everything they do, which can sometimes lead to heartache, but ultimately endears people to them.

ALAN
September 23rd – October 22nd
People with this sign are generally easy-going, sensible and make friends easily, partly because of their fantastic sense of humour.
However, they can often be disorganised, find it hard to accept new ideas at first and may have a tendency to be secretive and mysterious.
On the whole, though, they are very good people to have around in a crisis and always know what to say to cheer people up.

DOCTOR
October 23rd – November 21st
Those born under the sign of the Doctor are vastly intelligent, heroic, and filled with a desire to help people in every situation. They make friends easily and love company.
They may also, though, be capricious, thoughtless, hubristic, prone to snappiness and moods, and convinced that the universe revolves around them.
But in the main, Doctor people are kind, generous, and their enthusiasm for life in all of its forms means that they treat every day as an adventure.

HARRY
November 22nd – December 21st
People born under this sign are usually highly intelligent, disciplined and very adaptable. They use their initiative and keep a cool head in a crisis.
However they can be old-fashioned and find it hard to change their views, which means that they are often involved in arguments and frequently offend people without intending to. In spite of this, they are always very kind and lovable when you get to know them.

CLYDE
December 22nd – January 19th
Clyde people are very adaptable, inquisitive and quick-thinking. They are good at recognising patterns and figuring things out.
People born under this sign can sometimes be too quick to make judgements, and are very concerned about what others think of them. They can be thoughtless about the feelings of others.
However, they are quick to admit when they have made a mistake, and once you get to know them they are firm, loyal friends.

JOSH
January 20th – February 18th
Josh people are great company, loyal friends, and brave and selfless in the face of danger. Their puppy-like enthusiasm, while occasionally annoying, is generally endearing and entertaining.
People born under the sign of Josh can be aimless and lazy, and often find a lie easier to tell than an uncomfortable truth. Despite this, there is no malice in Josh people, and they are more likely to lie to protect a friend's feelings than for personal gain, as their friends are more important to them than anything.

MARIA
February 19th – March 20th
People born under the sign of Maria are inquisitive and adventurous, but this is tempered by their sensible, thoughtful side. Maria people can be relied on to take the most prudent action in any situation.
The inquisitiveness of Maria people can turn into nosiness or recklessness, which can get them into trouble. They can also be easily upset. However, they are easily cheered up too, and never bear grudges against people who have hurt their feelings.

Finally!!!!

Mon Jul 14, 2008, 11:15 PM
So I finally got my camera and my cosplay pictures off it! I am in the process of uploading all the good pictures onto the site as we speak. I am having a little trouble, but I have been able to get about half of them up so far. I had a fun time taking the pictures and getting the costumes together, so I hope people enjoy the pictures! Cheers!
